Isa ang nasawi habang higit 20 ang sugatan matapos na mahulog sa bangin ang sinasakyan nilang DepEd bus service sa bahagi ng Barangay Tala sa Orani, Bataan nitong Sabado.
Sakay ng bus ang isang grupo ng mga public school teacher mula Quezon City.
Ayon sa School Division Office ng Quezon City, dumalo ang mga guro sa gender and development activity sa isang resort sa Bataan.
“At about 11:30 a.m. on November 5, 2022, the fateful DepEd QC bus (SAA-9845) carrying 48 passengers, including the driver and alternate, about 15 minutes after departure from the resort, while negotiating a very sharp curve, lost its brakes and plunged into a 15-meter ravine, causing various injuries to the passengers,” pahayag ng SDO Quezon City.
“One of the participants, a teacher of Payatas B Elementary School, was declared dead on arrival at the Orani District Hospital due to a fatal injury. The officials of the SDO Quezon City rushed to the site to give assistance,” dagdag nito.
Ilan naman sa mga nasugatan ang dinala sa Orani District Hospital para sa first aid, X-ray at CT scan habang tatlo ang isinugod sa Balanga Provincial Hospital.
Ikinalungkot naman ng lokal na pamahalaang lungsod ng Quezon ang nangyaring aksidente at tiniyak ang pagpapaabot ng tulong sa mga biktima.
Nagpapatuloy pa ang imbestigasyon ng mga awtoridad sa insidente.
