Laborer From Cavite Wins ₱46-Million Jackpot in Megalotto 6/45

A 50-year-old laborer from Cavite hammered his way to the millionaire’s list as he claimed the jackpot prize of Php46,011,957.80 for the Megalotto 6/45 drawn last April 22, 2024.

The newly minted millionaire, a loyal lotto player for over twenty years, picked the winning numbers 33-17-40-09-42-20, drawing inspiration from his family
members’ birthdays.

Accustomed to a life of hard work in construction, he struggled to grasp the reality of suddenly possessing millions. When asked about his daily living, he tearfully remarked, “Kung hindi pupukpok, walang magagastos.”

PCSO General Melquiades A. Robles offered valuable financial guidance to the winner,
advising him to consider saving a portion of his fortune and venturing into business
investments.

“Salamat po! Hindi rin po ako magpapakita ng mga malaking pagbabago sa aking pamumuhay upang hindi ako mahalata ng aking mga kapitbahay,” the winner replied.

To claim lotto prizes, winners must sign the back of the winning ticket and provide two
valid government IDs for verification. Additionally, they must comply with the 20% tax on
prizes exceeding ₱10,000.00 under the TRAIN Law.
