Balik-bansa na si Pangulong Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr., matapos ang anim na araw nitong working visit sa Estados Unidos.
Alas-6:30 kaninang umaga nang dumating ang pangulo sa Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 2.
Sinalubong siya nina Vice President Sara Duterte, Armed Forces Chief Lieutenant General Bartolome Vicente Bacarro, Philippine Army Commanding General Lieutenant General Romeo Brawner Jr., Philippine Air Force Vice Commanding General Major General Arthur Cordura, Philippine Navy Vice Commander Rear Admiral Caesar Bernard Valencia; mga miyembro ng kanyang gabinete at ilang opisyal ng lungsod ng Pasay.
Sa kanyang arrival speech, iniulat ni Pangulong Marcos ang kanyang mga naging aktibidad sa pagbisita niya sa Amerika na inumpisahan niya sa pakikipagkita sa Filipino community sa New Jersey.
“First activity upon arriving in the United States was to meet with the Filipino Community. And their smiles, songs, welcoming took away the weariness of the 16-hour flight to Manila,” saad ng pangulo.
“I thanked them for the work that they do and their contributions to the Philippines, the community, and the United States,” dagdag niya.
Ayon sa pangulo, main event ng pagbisita niya sa Amerika ang pagbibigay niya ng national statement sa 77th United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) sa New York City kung saan tinalakay niya ang ilang global issues gaya ng climate change, tumataas na presyo ng pagkain at international disputes.
“I addressed global issues that require reunited global actions such as climate change, rising food prices, rapid technological change, the peaceful resolution of international disputes, the need to protect the vulnerable sectors of our society such as migrants, and ending all forms of prejudice,” saad ni Pangulong Marcos.
“I also shared our experience in the BARMM peace process, boosting agricultural productivity and promoting human rights to the UN joint programs on human rights. And I reiterated the Philippines’ belief and the primacy of the rule of law as embodied by the UN Convention on the Law of the Sea or UNCLOS,” aniya pa.
Ibinahagi rin ng pangulo ang mga prayoridad at plano ng kanyang administrasyon.
Inimbitahan din niyang bumisita sa Pilipinas si UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres.
