More than 4,000 runners participated in the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO)’s second Charity Run held at the Ayala Triangle Gardens in Makati City on Sunday, October 12, 2025.

Now on its second year, the PCSO Charity Run continues to promote compassion and unity through sports.

The activity was part of the celebration of the National Day of Charity as declared under Proclamation No. 598, and in line with the Agency’s mission to extend assistance to Filipinos in need.
Organized in partnership with RunRio, a leading events management company for athletic races, this year’s event featured four distance categories—3K, 5K, 10K, and 21K—attracting runners from various sectors including government agencies, private institutions, PCSO employees, beneficiaries, and the general public.

PCSO General Manager Melquiades A. Robles, who personally joined the 5K category, lauded the growing success of the initiative.
“We have doubled the number, and it is becoming popular, not only because of its portability and the freebies you get, but because of the Declaration of Charity,” Robles said.

“October 30 is the National Charity Day, and we want everyone to be aware that the government, through our agency, is really pushing forward for charity,” he continued.
” Lahat po tinutulungan natin — nakita nyo nga po ‘yung sa Cebu, Masbate, kahit bashers tinutulungan natin.”

The 2025 PCSO Charity Run once again highlighted the agency’s advocacy of promoting health, camaraderie, and social responsibility, while strengthening public awareness and participation in charitable giving.
Through the Charity Run, the PCSO continues to embody its mission of “Sa Bawat Taya, May Kawanggawa,” transforming every stride into a step of hope for Filipinos across the nation.
