MANILA (24 September 2026) — Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) General Manager Melquiades “Mel” A. Robles on Thursday received the Philippine Coast Guard Auxiliary (PCGA) Merit Medal and Ribbon during a ceremony at PCG headquarters in Manila.
The award recognized his volunteerism, compassion and commitment to public service.
Robles, an auxiliary commodore in the PCGA, was cited for his contributions in advancing the welfare of PCG personnel and continued service to the public.The PCG said Robles’s continued support has helped ease their burdens and strengthen their morale as they carried out their duties.
“PCSO and the Philippine Coast Guard are united by a common purpose: to serve and help the people, especially in times of greatest need,” Robles for his part said.
He also thanked the Coast Guard for its partnership with PCSO in humanitarian and charitable activities, saying the recognition strengthened his resolve to continue their work together.
