
MANDALUYONG CITY — The Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) turned over various assistance items to the Municipality of Baco, Oriental Mindoro, during a ceremony held on May 20, 2026, at the PCSO Main Office in Mandaluyong City.
PCSO General Manager Melquiades Robles led the turnover of the donation to Baco Mayor Allan Roldan.
The assistance included 500 Charitimba food packs; 20 units each of life jackets, rescue ropes, and rescue helmets; 10 units each of handheld radios and stretchers; 30 units each of wheelchairs, crutches, walkers, and canes; and 20 units each of glucometers, blood pressure apparatuses, pulse oximeters, and nebulizers.
According to Mayor Roldan, the donated items will be distributed to residents of Baco, particularly indigent families, senior citizens, and persons with disabilities. He added that the rescue devices will be used by the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office to strengthen the town’s disaster preparedness and emergency response capacity.
The donation forms part of PCSO’s Corporate Social Responsibility program, which provides timely and inclusive assistance to communities nationwide.
Through this initiative, PCSO continues to support local government units in delivering essential aid and improving the welfare and resilience of their constituents.
