DPWH 2nd District Engineering breaks ground new Admin Building

iFM Laoag – The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Second District Engineering Office in Ilocos Norte opens a three-story administrative building that caters to different offices of the said agency.

The inauguration were graced with different department heads of the agency led by Engineer Matias Malenab, Ilocos Norte second district Congressman Angelo Marcos Barba, DPWH 1st District Engineering Officer Maria Venus Torio, different project contractors, and the employees of the district office.

According to Engr. Malenab the completion of the building was done in two-year-time with a cost amounting to 60 million pesos from the DPWH Central Office. The building is a modern style with high-end technologies, friendly for the employees, very convenient rooms, clean restrooms, and it has elevator for senior citizens and differently-abled persons.

Malenab believes that there are more reasons to be back in Ilocos Norte after reshuffling years ago. He served Ilocos Norte in 2020, Ilocos Sur in 2021, and now back to Ilocos Norte for this year and beyond – depending upon the mandate of the institution and the Office of the President of the Philippines. | via Bernard Ver, RMN News
