Ombudsman, pinatawan ng preventive suspension ang ilang matataas na opisyal ng DepEd kaugnay ng kontrobersiya sa mga biniling laptop ng kagawaran

Pinatawan ng preventive suspension ng Office of the Ombudsman ang ilang matataas na opisyal ng Department of Education (DepEd) at Department of Budget and Management (DBM).

Ito ay kaugnay sa overpriced at outdated o mga lumang laptop at computers na aabot sa ₱2.4 billion.

Sa resolusyon ni Ombudsman Samuel Martirez, kabilang sa mga pinatawan ng preventive suspension ng anim na buwan ay sina DepEd Undersecretary for Finance Annalyn Sevilla, DepEd Undersecretary Alain del B. Pascua, PS-DBM Undersecretary Lloyd Christopher Lao, DepEd Assistant Secretary Salvador C. Malana III, DepEd Director Abram Abanil, PS-DBM Director Jasonmer L. Uayan, Procurement Management Officer IV Ulysses Mora, PS-DBM and Designated Chairperson, SBAC-1; Marwan O. Amil, Procurement Management Officer I PS-DBM and Designated Provisional Member, SBAC-Alec Ladanga, Executive Assistant IV, Office of Undersecretary Sevilla, DepEd Marcelo Bragado, Director IV, Procurement Management Service, DepEd Selwyn Briones, Supervising Administrative Officer, DepEd; and Paul Armand Estrada, Procurement Management Officer V, PS-DBM and Designated Regular Member, SBAC-1.


Batay sa imbestigasyon ng Senado, nagsabwatan umano ang nabanggit na mga opisyal para isakatuparan ang overpriced na kontrata sa ilalim ng computerization program.
