The Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) has donated a wide range of medical equipment to Barangay Kalusugan in Quezon City to strengthen community-level healthcare services. The assistance was formally turned over by Atty. Maria Katrina Nicole Contacto-Ventanilla during a ceremony held on May 6, 2026, at the PCSO Main Office in Mandaluyong City.
Among the items provided were five units each of blood pressure apparatus, glucometers, nebulizers, thermal scanners, and pulse oximeters. Mobility aids, consisting of 10 wheelchairs, 10 crutches, 10 walkers, and 10 canes, as wells as 50 hygiene kits and 200 ChariTimba were also received by the local government unit to support its various community health and outreach activities.
Barangay Kalusugan officials, led by Punong Barangay Rocky Rabanal, formally accepted the donation along with Kagawad Reynaldo Seva and Mrs. Belenes Rabanal on behalf of the local government.
The assistance was made possible through the agency’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Program, which aims to strengthen grassroots healthcare delivery by equipping local government units with essential medical tools. The initiative also underscored the agency’s ongoing commitment to public service, particularly in supporting underserved communities with accessible health resources.
The provision of these medical supplies is expected to enhance the barangay’s capacity to provide immediate and basic healthcare services, as well as extend assistance to residents in need, further advancing PCSO’s mission of delivering compassionate and responsive social services nationwide.
