The Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO), represented by Assistant General Manager for Charity Sector Atty. Lauro A. Patiag together with Dra. Clarissa Ferrer, Department Manager of the Medical Services Department, turned over various medicines worth P60,000.00 to Batanes Governor Ronald Aguto Jr. at the PCSO Conservatory Building on Thursday, May 7, 2026.
The medicines are intended to support the healthcare needs of residents in Basco and will be distributed through a scheduled medical program initiated by the governor’s office. The assistance was provided by PCSO in a bid to boost accessible medical support and essential healthcare services for communities, particularly those in geographically isolated areas.
Governor Aguto expressed gratitude to the agency for its prompt response and continued partnership in addressing the medical needs of the people of Batanes. Through this turnover, it highlighted the importance of collaborative efforts between national agencies and local government units in ensuring that healthcare assistance reaches underserved communities.
