In line with its commitment to promote public health and welfare, the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO), through its Medical Services Department, conducted a medical and dental mission in the Municipality of Lian, Batangas on June 24, 2026.
The activity was led by Dr. Juliet Diaz, along with a team of dedicated medical professionals from the PCSO Main Office, in coordination with the office of PCSO Director Imelda Papin. Through the initiative, PCSO has provided essential healthcare services to local residents, many of whom have limited access to medical and dental care.
A total of 133 individuals received free medical consultations during the mission, while 32 beneficiaries availed themselves of dental services. Among the services offered were general health check-ups, electrocardiograms (ECG), tooth extractions, and the distribution of necessary medications.
In addition to the on-site services, PCSO donated additional medicines to the community upon the request of Louie Malvar, Chairperson of the Balikatan Batangas Chapter.
Chairperson Malvar expressed his sincere gratitude to PCSO for its continued support. He emphasized that the donated medicines would greatly benefit local residents, particularly those whose livelihoods depend on fishing and the tourism industry.
The medical and dental mission underscores PCSO’s dedication to bringing healthcare services closer to underserved communities, reinforcing its mission of providing meaningful assistance to Filipinos in need.
