Pinag-aaralan pa ng House Prosecution Panel kung ipapatawag sina Col. Raymund Lachica at Dennis Nolasco bilang mga testigo sa impeachment trial kay Vice President Sara Duterte.
Si Lachica ay dating head ng Vice Presidential Security and Protection Group (VPSPG) at sa kanya umano ibinigay ni Office of the Vice President (OVP) special disbursing officer Gina Acosta ang 125 million pesos na confidential funds noong December 2022.
Si Nolasco naman ay dating deputy commander ng VPSPG at nadadawit din sa confidential funds sa Department of Education (DepEd) sa panahong si VP Sara ang kalihim nito.
ayon kay House Prosecution Adviser and Spokesperson Robert Ace Barbers, hindi na itinuloy na ipatawag noon sina Lachica at Nolasco sa mga pagdinig ng House Committee on Good Government and Public Accountability.
ito ay dahil mayroon ng imbestigasyon na isinasagawa ang Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) at sapat na rin ang mga ebidensya at testimonya na nakuha ng Kamara patungkol sa maling paggamit ni VP Duterte ng confidential funds.
Sabi naman ni House Private Prosecutor Atty. Lorna Kapunan, kung may findings na sa internal investigation ng AFP ay maari namang iprisenta kalaunan sina Lachica at Nolasco bilang mga additional or rebuttal witnesses.
