Nakatawid na sa ikalawang pagbasa ng Mababang Kapulungan ang House Bill 6482 o panukalang limitahan ang mga opisyal ng Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) na saklaw ng three-year fixed term.
Binibigyan ngayon ng three-year fixed term ang AFP vice chief of staff at deputy chief of staff, gayundin ang commanding general ng Philippine Army (PA) at Philippine Air Force (PAF), kabilang din ang flag-officer-in command ng Philippine Navy, mga unified command commanders at AFP inspector general.
Pero sa ilalim ng panukala ay lilimitahan na lamang ang bibigyan ng fixed three-year term sa armed forces chief of staff, commanding general ng PA at air force at flag-officer-in-command ng Philippine Navy.
Pwede namang hindi matapos ang fixed term kung nanaisin ng pangulo.
