PCSO–Philracom Stages ‘Road to the Triple Crown’ Horse Race

The Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) has shown its support for the local horse racing industry fondly known as the “bayang karerista” by conducting the 2026 Philracom–PCSO “Road to the Triple Crown” on April 26, 2026, at the Philippine Jockey Club in Padre Garcia, Batangas.

The 1,650-meter horse race drew key officials and stakeholders from both government and racing institutions.

Leading the PCSO delegation was PCSO Racing Committee Member and Product and Standard Development Department Manager Demosthenes Magno, accompanied by Treasury Department Manager Belen Baltazar, OIC-Manager of Gaming Technology Department Aimee de Viterbo, Information Technology Services OIC-Manager Dennis Cruz, and Public Relations Officer Justin Santos from Corporate Planning Department.

They were joined by officials from the Philippine Racing Commission (Philracom) and the Philippine Jockey Club, including Chairperson Aurelio De Leon, Racing Manager Moises Condangan, and Assistant Racing Manager Carlo Tenorio. The group led the awarding ceremony, presenting trophies to the race winners.

The winning connections were led by the emerging champion Black Eagle, thrilling the crowd under the skilled ride of jockey C.P. Henson and the expert training of Jayson Sordan. The horse’s breeder-owner, Antonio Tan, was represented during the ceremony by Ralph Alcantara.

The PCSO reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening the country’s horse racing industry through sustained collaboration with key racing organizations.

Beyond fostering competitive excellence, the agency emphasized that its continued support for the sport also serves as an important platform for promoting PCSO programs that benefit public welfare.

By championing horse racing, PCSO not only helps preserve a proud sporting tradition but also amplifies public awareness of its charitable initiatives, reinforcing its mission of supporting health services and social development nationwide.
